BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
A comprehensive and specialised track within the larger field of information and communication technology is represented by the Computer Systems Servicing Strand. With technology permeating every part of our lives, students pursuing this strand will be well-positioned to become skilled technicians who can guarantee the optimum performance and dependability of computing devices. This strand is devoted to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the effective management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems. Students studying Computer Systems Servicing are responsible for fixing and upkeep of computer hardware and software. According to ( ENGR. ALEX S.E. , 2012- 2013) The COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that must possess to enable to install and configure computers systems, set-up computer networks and servers and to maintain and repair computer systems and networks, which in some students can be a difficulty to do. There are many hands-on activities that students can encounter in Computer Systems Servicing Strand that would become a problem or difficulty to them if they don't understand the instructions of their Teacher that they were given of. These problems can be handled if there were some easier information that would help them in the activity that their having a problem to effectively finish the Computer Servicing Systems Strand's hands-on tasks. This study aims to improve students' comprehension of instructions, guaranteeing a more seamless learning process and competence in managing, maintaining, and repairing computer systems through the development of thorough guidelines. The ultimate objective is to provide incoming ICT-CSS Senior High School Students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in this exciting and important branch of information and communication technology. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This study aims to determine the problems encountered by the Senior High Grade 11 and Grade 12 CSS Students in Fort Bonifacio High School enrolled in the School Year 2022 - 2023, in the use of a deep guide into the Computer Systems Servicing Strand: A senior High school guidebook in Computer Systems Servicing subjects. 1.Limited Understanding of Hardware Components: Many Students lack the understanding of essential hardware components, such as CPUs, RAM, motherboards, and storage devices. This knowledge gap hinders their ability to troubleshoot and maintain Computer Systems effectively. 2.Outdated Software Knowledge: Keeping up with the rapidly evolving software is challenging for Students. The guidebook should address this by providing insights into the latest operating systems, diagnostic tools, and software updates relevant to Computer Systems Servicing. 3.Insufficient Practical Experience: Students often struggle with hands-on experience, limiting their practical skills. The guidebook should integrate practical exercises, simulations, or real-world projects to enhance students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. 4.Limited Exposure to Industry Standards: The guidebook should expose students to industry standards and best practices in Computer Systems Servicing. This includes compliance with safety regulations, ethical considerations, and adherence to professional standards in the field.
